MANDATE OF THE DEPARTMENT:
To ensure the development and maintenance of high-quality, timely and cost efficient and predictable human resources policies, services, systems and processes that are developed in the best interest of the Joint Programme and ensure UNAIDS has the human resources capacity necessary to respond promptly and effectively to organizational needs.
Main tasks and Responsibilities of the Position:
Under the overall supervision of Chief, HRM, and in close cooperation with the HRM Unit Heads , the other HR Specialists and the ERP Focal points, the incumbent is responsible for the delivery of HR related training, in order to support the optimal use of the Enterprise Resource Planning System (ERP) and to ensure highly effective HR services and administration for the Organization. The key responsibilities of the HR Specialist (ERP Training Officer) are as follows:

1. Provide support to ERP users:

Provide hands-on ERP support, gathering business requirements, researching solutions, testing as necessary and resolving user issues or implementing workarounds as appropriate;
Proactively liaise and develop relationships with WHO GSM Team, the Global Service Center and ERP focal points in UNAIDS to ensure issues are resolved in a timely and effective manner;
Ensure all standards and procedures are being followed and maintained according to evolving business requirements;
Assist in ERP testing activities during upgrades and implementation of enhancements;
Build ERP knowledge base as well as training documents to aid support activities; as requested, showing the status of ERP issues and resolutions;
Escalate issues as appropriate in a timely manner, ensuring they are followed up and solved.

2. Provide training to users on ERP system or adapted systems:

Determine user training and learning needs; identify competency gaps and develop training programmes accordingly;
Liaise with the WHO GSM teams to set-up training instance to conduct training;
Liaise with Information Management and Technology (IMT) and other ERP focal points and ensure training events are planned and users attend training;
Train users with the help of other ERP focal points as appropriate;
Develop user guides in collaboration with WHO, incorporating relevant training material from WHO;
Assess impact of learning and training initiatives through regular follow-up evaluations with a view to improve training and learning activities on an on-going basis;

3. Provide help with other project related work:

Coordinate with and participate in ERP systems-related projects;
Provide inputs on processes and procedures to enhance the ERP system;
Provide HR statistics and reports for offices and missions;
Perform any other project-related duties as requested by supervisor.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Education:
University degree in human resources management, business administration, law or other related field.
Desirable: Advanced university degree desirable in any of the above areas, and/or certification in training of trainers, Facilitation studies, or computer science.
Competencies:
Proven ability to deliver against predefined goals.
Combination of strong technical awareness and outstanding people skills.
Proven ability to deliver training and learning.
Proven client orientation.
Ability to document problems, impacts and resolution options in a clear and concise manner.
Effective time management skills and multi-tasking capabilities.
Good knowledge of ERP systems.
Knowledge of current UNAIDS/WHO administrative rules and regulations is an asset.
Experience:
Three to six years experience in human resources entitlements or administration, with in depth knowledge of ERP Systems as they relate to HR actions and processes.
At least one year experience in delivering training related to administrative services as well as communication on management and technical issues to different audiences.
Desirable: Experience in the WHO/ERP System or similar ERP systems; Experience in the application and interpretation of WHO and/or UNDP staff rules and regulations.
Languages:
Excellent knowledge of English or French with a good working knowledge of the other language. Knowledge of another UN official language is an asset.
Additional Information:
Positions at the international professional category within UNAIDS may be subject to the Organization's Mobility Policy.
Annual salary: (Net of tax)
55 259 USD at single rate
59 200 USD with primary dependants
Post Adjustment: % of the figure(s) on the left side. This percentage is to be considered as indicative since variations may occur each month either upwards or downwards due to currency exchange rate fluctuations or inflation.
