MANDATE OF THE DEPARTMENT:
The mission of the IMT unit is to lead, guide and standardize the development and provision of all UNAIDS Information & Communications Technology infrastructure, systems and services. The IMT unit is responsible to standardize and integrate all information management and information technology activities across the Secretariat and to ensure that these are delivered in a coherent way and can be linked to the wider information management work of UNAIDS. The IMT unit identifies and evaluates new technologies and architectures, anticipates their business benefits to the organization and puts in place solutions that enable and empower UNAIDS staff to obtain timely information for decision-making purposes. Through the work of the IMT unit, UNAIDS shall be in a leading position in its use of information management technologies in the UN system.
Main tasks and Responsibilities of the Position:
The Global Service Desk aligns learning strategies and coordinates delivery of all UNAIDS IT learning services, including user support at a first-level diagnosis and second-level support. The GSD promotes IT literacy, optimizing utilization of systems and enhancing the performance of users.

Reporting to the Unit Head, Global Service Desk, the ERP Training Officer will develop and deliver an ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) training programme for delivery worldwide. Specifically the ERP Training Officer has the following responsibilities:

- Provide expert ERP advice and develop an ERP learning programme within the framework of the global release of UNAIDS Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP).
- In close collaboration with the Manager, Global Service Desk and other IMT Training Officers, develop, implement and ensure the effective delivery of a flexible and blended learning programme for UNAIDS staff in regional/country offices.
- Develop a blended learning programme, including the development and delivery of learning material specifically to accompany the global release of the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP).
- Design and develop a scalable learning programme for global distribution in-line with corporate branding, established learning guidelines and standards.
- Consult and liaise with other business units, subject matter experts, ILT trainers, and learning team members for learning requirements, learning objectives, curriculum and delivery model.
- Deliver ERP training to all staff worldwide.
- Deliver one-to-one and training and formal group classroom sessions.
- Interact directly with UNAIDS individual staff members, providing guidance, support and training.
- Participate in the bi-weekly Solutions Centre sessions (one-on-one coaching, small group sessions).
- Contribute to other UNAIDS learning programmes as determined by the Manager, Global Service Desk.
- Deliver regular reports on ERP training and support plans and status of delivery.
- Assist with content development of the IT Learning Portal on the UNAIDS Intranet.
- Perform other related duties as assigned by the supervisor.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Education:
University degree in Computer Science or related field. Desirable: ITIL Certification, PRINCE 2 certification
Competencies:
- Instructional design, needs assessment, training methodologies (classroom, self-study, e-learning, etc.).
- ERP systems, Oracle e-business preferred.
- Records management systems, Opentext Livelink preferred.
- Ability to link closely IT and ERP training delivery with IT and ERP support and business unit (HR, finance, programme management, travel, procurement) training delivery carried out in other units.
- Ability to develop and deliver global training plan to staff in locations with varying levels of computer competency and quality of infrastructure.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
Desirable:
- Knowledge of information mapping technique.
- Knowledge of Author-it.
Experience:
Several years' experience in similar positions, including demonstrated training experience combined with or as related to experience implementing an ERP learning programme, at national or international level. Three or more years solid experience in a functional training role with emphasis on technology and business process training development and delivery. Three or more years experience in instructional design, needs assessment, training methodologies and development of instructor-led and e-learning training materials.

Languages:
Excellent knowledge of English or French with a working knowledge of the other language.
Desirable: Knowledge of another UN official language

Positions at the international professional category within UNAIDS may be subject to the Organization's Mobility Policy.
Annual salary: (Net of tax)
55,259 US$ at single rate
59,200 US$ with primary dependants
Post Adjustment: yes % of the figure(s) on the left side. This percentage is to be considered as indicative since variations may occur each month either upwards or downwards due to currency exchange rate fluctuations or inflation.
